Santiago de Compostela's old city is replete with places of special interest. All places can be seen as positions in space and, as such, may be located on a map and referenced through navigational signals throughout the city. Some places, in addition, constitute buildings or other constructions that may contain objects of cultural interest (such as a museum or a park, which contain objects or structures), or are usual scenarios for the manifestation of intangible entities (such as a traditional neighbourhood celebration). CHARM allows us to model this complex reality where places look homogeneous from certain perspective, but highly heterogeneous from another.
